What does it take to lure a new business to Florida? An educated workforce? Tax breaks? Abundant, available commercial real estate?
All of those things help, of course, and Florida Power & Light Co. is hoping its new website will help, too.
The website, Powering Florida, has "detailed" information on important factors businesses consider when relocating, such as labor force statistics, consumer spending data, key economic indicators and the like.
The website also features an interactive map that business owners can use to search for suitable real estate or open commercial buildings. It also has profiles of 18 million companies worldwide that have some type of business connection to Florida.
According to a spokesman for Florida Power and Light, the website is the first time all of the information has been bundled in one place.
Because we often work with entrepreneurs, we understand how much information they need before they make a key decision like relocating to another state, or even committing to a new business space. As such, we think it is good that businesses now have a resource that makes it easy for them to access and use important information.
